SikaWall® 340 Smooth is a smooth, paste mixed material mixed with cement or gypsum intended to smooth rough surfaces and fill voids in concrete surfaces. The smooth surface is obtained by eliminating defects such as grooves, joints, voids.

Storage conditions Sika Wall® 340 Smooth

Sika Wall® 340 Smooth waterproofing product must be safely stored in its original, unopened and undamaged packaging in a dry environment. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight.

Expiry

Sika Wall® 340 Smooth has a minimum shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture under standard storage conditions.

Sika Wall® 340 Smooth Application Instructions

Surface treatment for construction

• Surface must be clean, dry, free of dust, oil, paint.
• New concrete must be allowed to dry from 3 to 7 days depending on weather conditions before construction.
• Remove seams or edges that exceed the required thickness.
• If the surface has a lot of gaps, apply a first coat to fill the gaps first.
• Then applying other layers will be easier and faster.
• Wet surface before use.

How to mix SikaWall® 340 Smooth mortar

• Mix 1kg SikaWall® 340 Smooth with (0.7kg - 1kg) cement (white or gray) or putty until the mixture is homogeneous. Do not add water.
• Mix well to avoid lumps and ensure the best product quality.
• The mixing process of SikaWall® 340 Smooth is carried out as follows: When mixing small batches, use a mixer with a small stirrer to mix for at least 3 minutes. In the case of high volume mixing, the recommended mixer speed is 500 rpm. A minimum mixing time of 3 minutes or desired consistency is achieved.

Note:

• Let the mixture rest for 1-3 minutes.
• Different brands of cement may produce different color results. Tests should be carried out prior to actual application. The final color depends on the type of cement and the amount of cement being mixed.

SikaWall® 340 Smooth Mixture Application Method

• Apply first coat of SikaWall® 340 Smooth by trowel.

• Apply at least two coats: the first to smooth the surface and the second to finish. More coats can be applied to achieve thickness or texture requirements.

• If there are too many gaps on the surface, the first layer should be filled first. This way, the next layer will perform easier and faster.

• Let dry for 10 to 45 minutes between coats.

• Surface can be polished with No. 380 sandpaper.

• Wait 3-7 days before applying topcoat.
