On the afternoon of May 6, Vietnam continued to record 60 more Covid-19 cases, of which 56 were community cases in nine provinces and cities. Particularly, the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases this afternoon recorded 16 new infections, including a doctor.
Four cases were isolated immediately after entry
Case 3046 (BN3046) isolated immediately after entry in Thai Nguyen province: Female patient, 25 years old, Vietnamese citizen, with address in Son Dong district, Bac Giang province. On May 4, the patient entered Noi Bai airport from Japan on flight VJ5465 and was isolated immediately after entering Thai Nguyen province. Test results on May 5 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patient is isolated and treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
Case 3061 (BN3061) isolated immediately after entry in Ho Chi Minh City: Female patient, 32 years old, Vietnamese citizen with address in Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh province. On April 13, the patient entered Tan Son Nhat airport from Dubai on flight VN088 and was isolated immediately upon entry in Ho Chi Minh City and tested negative three times for SARS-CoV-CoV. 2.
On April 30, the patient returned to Ha Tinh after the isolation period ended, then was isolated at home. Test results on May 5 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patient is isolated and treated at Cau Treo Hospital, Ha Tinh province
Khanh Hoa isolates 2 cases: Case 3088, female, 33 years old, Vietnamese citizen with address in Dien Chau district, Nghe An province; Case 3089, female, 24 years old, Vietnamese citizen with address in Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province.
On April 24, the patient entered Cam Ranh Airport from Japan on flight VJ2723 and was isolated immediately after entering Khanh Hoa province. The second test result on May 5 was positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patients are isolated and treated at Cam Lam Medical Center.

Vinh Phuc recorded 11 cases, including: Patients BN3031-3033, 3035-3038 who are employees at Hoa Sen Health Care Center, Vinh Yen city, Vinh Phuc province; Case 3068 (BN3068), male, 38 years old, address in Binh Xuyen District, Vinh Phuc province, has an epidemiological history related to the outbreak at Hoa Sen Health Care Center, Vinh Yen city, Vinh province Phuc; Cases BN3034, 3059, 3060 have an epidemiological history related to the outbreak at a karaoke bar in Phuc Yen town, Vinh Phuc province.
Test results of BN3031-3038, BN3059-3060, BN3068 on May 5 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patients are isolated and treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
Thai Binh recorded 5 new cases including BN3039, 3041, 3042, 3044, 3045 with a history of taking care of patients treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases. Test results of BN3039, 3041, 3042, 3044, 3045 on May 6 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patients are isolated and treated at Thai Binh Provincial General Hospital.
Bac Ninh recorded 12 cases including: Case 3040 (BN3040) recorded in Bac Ninh province: Male patient, 48 years old, address in Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province; have a history of taking care of patients treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh campus;
Case 3043 (BN3043) recorded in Bac Ninh province: Female patient, 73 years old, address in Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province; is the F1 (mother) of BN3040; Case 3055 (BN3055) recorded in Bac Ninh province: Male patient, 34 years old, address in Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province; is a patient being treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases;

Hanoi recorded 4 cases including: Case 3047 (BN3047), female, 35 years old, address in Soc Son district, Hanoi city, is the F1 of case 3032; Case 3048 (BN3048), male, 1 year old, address in Soc Son district, Hanoi city, is F1 of case 3032; Case 3049 (BN3049), female, 61 years old, address in Soc Son district, Hanoi city, is F1 of case 3029; Case 3050 (BN3050), female, 44 years old, address in Dong Anh district, Hanoi city, is F1 (daughter) of patient 3022.
The test result on May 6 of BN3047-3050 was positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patients are isolated and treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
Hai Duong recorded 1 case: Case 3051, male, 32 years old, address in Hai Duong city, Hai Duong province. From April 30, the patient had symptoms of cough, taking medicine did not help. On May 5, the patient went to Medlatec's laboratory in Hai Duong to collect samples. Test results on May 6 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patient is isolated and treated at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hai Duong province.
Hung Yen recorded 2 cases: BN3063, female, 31 years old, addressing in My Hao town, Hung Yen province; Case 3065, female, 1 year old, address in My Hao town, Hung Yen province.
Case 3063, 3065 is the F1 of Patient 3013 (the person taking care of the patient at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh campus). Test results on May 5 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patients are isolated and treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
Quang Ngai recorded 1 case: Case 3067, male, 26 years old, address in Quang Ngai City, Quang Ngai province; Epidemiologically related to the outbreak at New Phuong Dong Bar, Hai Chau District, Da Nang. Test results on May 6 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patients are isolated and treated at Quang Ngai Provincial General Hospital.
The Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases recorded 16 new cases of Covid-19 (BN3069-3084), including a medical staff, 13 family members and two patients being treated at the hospital.
Da Nang recorded 3 cases including: Patient 3085, female, 56 years old, address in Hai Chau district, Da Nang city. Patient is F1 of BN3086.
Case 3086 (BN3086) recorded in Da Nang city: Male patient, 61 years old, address in Hai Chau district, Da Nang city. On May 5, the patient had a high fever, body aches, shortness of breath, dry mouth, and went to the Lung Hospital to examine and take samples for testing. Test results on May 6 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patients are isolated and treated at Da Nang Lung Hospital.
Case 3087 (BN3087) recorded in Da Nang city: Female patient, 25 years old, address in Son Tra, Da Nang city; working at New Phuong Dong Bar, Hai Chau District, Da Nang. Test results on May 6 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patient is isolated and treated at Da Nang Lung Hospital.
Lang Son recorded 1 case: Case 3090, female, 26 years old, address in Van Lang district, Lang Son province; was being treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases. Test results on May 6 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patient is isolated and treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh campus.
Thus, as of this afternoon, Vietnam has a total of 1,690 cases of Covid-19 due to domestic transmission, of which the number of new cases from April 27 to now is 120.
